At a glance
The Sloughi is a Moroccan short-haired sighthound whose general appearance, by demeanour, delicacy of tissue and muscular leanness, is that of a very racy and elegant dog. Its coat is very short, dense and fine, in sand or fawn shades with or without a black mask, mantle, brindling or overlay. Males stand 66–72 cm and females 61–68 cm at the withers, and the FCI recognises the breed without working trial but with a racing licence.
