The Srpski Trobojni Gonič or Serbian Tricolour Hound is a medium-sized scent hound of robust constitution, full of character, lively and energetic. Its short, gleaming coat over a well-developed undercoat carries the tricolour pattern the breed is named for: a black mantle or saddle, a white star and blaze forming a full or partial collar, and white that may extend to the chest, belly and inside of the legs but must not exceed a third of the body surface. Males stand 45–55 cm (ideal 51 cm) and females 44–54 cm (ideal 49 cm).
