The Schillerstövare is a Swedish scent hound that gives tongue and is used on hare and fox; the standard is explicit that it is not a pack hound, is not hunted in couples, and is never used on deer. It is slightly rectangular, sinewy and noble, giving an impression of speed and strength, and is always tan with a black mantle, in a harsh close-lying coat.
